Cheerleading at St. Mary’s is open to any interested student in grades 6-8. Cheerleaders cheer for both Girls & Boys Basketball A & B Squad home games. The SMS Cheer Squad also leads the SMS Tri-County Pep Fest. The season begins in November and concludes the last week-end in February, which is the Tri-County Tournament held at St. Mary’s. Practice is generally held after school 2-3 days per week during the season. Uniforms are provided. Participation in cheerleading for 3 years earns the participant a St. Mary’s Sport’s Letter.
