St Mary’s School provides its students and staff access to a number of technology resources. We believe these resources provide incredible opportunities to enhance learning and improve communication within our community and with the global community beyond our building. The advantages of having access to these resources are far greater than any potential downside. However, with the privilege of access comes great responsibility for students, teachers, staff and families. St Mary’s School expects all community members to exercise appropriate personal responsibility in their use of these resources. Our policies are intended to promote the most effective, safe, productive, and instructionally sound uses of networked information & communication tools. Our school makes every effort to protect its students from exposure to Internet materials that are harmful or explicit. St. Mary’s School maintains a system of Internet filtering which blocks inappropriate content.
St. Mary’s students have access to a number of technology tools. All classrooms are equiped with an interactive white board. Two computer labs are located near the library, a PC lab and a MAC lab. Junior High students are using green screen technology for filming. And we have many I-pads, and I-pods located throughout the building.
